Our favorite car sportsing game is about to throw another curveball our way. A few months ago, Rocket League developers Psyonix released what they called Rocket Labs. It allows players to try out new maps that are in development. Since February, multiple maps have been tried out, but this new one is a little more extreme, deemed as a MOBA update by some.
In the new map, cleverly named Pillars, has, you guessed it, two pillars that separate the pitch. However, these pillars are stretched out, and curved on the bottoms and tops, to effectively separate the pitch into three lanes, where players can drive up the walls to have more ways to keep your opponents on their toes..err…. Tires.
This map will be added to the Rocket Labs playlist in June to see how players enjoy the new twist. Psyonix is definitely okay with twisting their game to try new experimental modes, as seen by the Snow Day and March Madness maps that utilize Hockey and Basketball respectively. It is possible this map will be released alongside the new update that will be coming out in June. Also, in case you missed it, Rocket League is now cross platform enabled for Xbox One and PC! Get out there and smash some balls!
