Right before the start of E3, NetherRealm Studios announced a sequel to one of the best super hero based fighting games since Marvel VS Capcom. Injustice 2‘s information may be coming to light quicker than expected due to a poster being leaked by a retailer, but either way NetherRealm has embraced bringing this game out into the public. At first, only the poster and the cinematic trailer was available, but during a live stream the studio shared an awesome peek at what gamers can expect at release. Behold some of the action below, courtesy of IGN’s Youtube Channel.
If anything the trailer shows more of how players will be able to customize their favorite DC heroes with various armors and cosmetics. It also shows off a spunky Super Girl, who looks like a blast to play as. Graphically the game has a similar style to the first Injustice, but the new consoles will add an edge that the first game lacked. Injustice 2 will probably feature a similar story mode, which was rated highly by most players. I loved the game’s story, focusing on Superman and his morality. Funny thing is, I’ve never been a fan of DC, but Injustice takes all the right beats of years of comics and characters to create a single awesome game.
We’ll be seeing more of Injustice 2 over the next few days, as its shaping up to be one of the best games on display at E3. Marooners’ Rock will have the latest as it happens with our special Bat Computers. We also carry Bat Shark Repellent. Just in case.
