Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga Announced at Anime Expo

Anime Expo is known as one of the biggest anime conventions in North America, so it comes as no surprise that Funimation and other entertainment companies are revealing upcoming projects left and right. Earlier today Funimation Entertainment announced that they had secured the rights to Drifters, which you can read here

Moments ago during the Blue Exorcist 5th Anniversary Panel with author Kazue Kato, the next season of Blue Exorcist was announced. The new season of Ao No Exorcist, Blue Exorcist, is called Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga. Not much information was released about Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga but we do know that it will be coming out in 2017. The first season of Blue Exorcist anime ended before the manga did, so the Kyoto Saga may fill in some of the missing details. The Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga will be known as the  Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc and will follow Rin, Yukio, Ryuji, Shiemi, Shiro and Mephisto on their next adventure.

The trailer is provided below for your viewing pleasure. We at Marooners’ Rock are very excited about this news. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this news straight from Anime Expo 2016.
