Another month, another mythical Pokemon! Of course this means that the adorable little grass hedgehog (a literal hedge-hog, if you will) Shaymin is now up for grabs! This adorable little guy hasn’t been offered to gamers in the states legitimately since November 2009. Yikes, that is a massive wait for a Pokemon. Don’t worry though, our time is now!
Shaymin is a special little guy. Not just because he is a mythical, but he is one of the few Pokemon that have “form(e)s” other than evolutions. If Shaymin is shown to a female NPC located in the Snowbelle City Pokemon center, or the Berry Master’s son on Route 123 in XY and ORAS, respectively, you will get the Gracidea, which allows Shaymin to switch between Land and Sky Formes.
Shaymin comes with the ability natural Cure, which allows it to heal all status conditions on itself when switched out. The moveset Shaymin comes with is Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute, and Energy Ball.
Just like the other events, there are toys, stuffed animals, and card packs that will be released this month for you Pokemaniacs to partake in. Shaymin will be available through the Nintendo Network from July 1st to July 24th. Do not miss this opportunity. It may be another seven years before we get this chance again!
