Not going to lie, I have no idea what’s going on with the Hyperdimension series. It’s a game that personifies game consoles as cute anime girls and they do various things in each game with most of them being RPGs. Now, a whole new slew of characters are coming to the newest entry, this time taking on the legacy of the Sega consoles. Check out the new promo trailer below.
New Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls comes out sometime this fall. Truly, I am left with more questions than answers after this trailer. I love the character designs and I think the novelty of them being representations of game consoles is super cool, but other than that I’m as ignorant as they come with this franchise. I do love the Vita, so maybe this game could get me into the series.
The press release description reads as such.
“In this RPG adventure, our usual heroine of the Neptunia series, Neptune, is transformed into a motorcycle and now IF, who has always been supporting Neptune from the side, must take main stage! With the help of the Sega Hard Girls, IF must jump, dash, climb, and crawl her way to recover the lost history of the Grand Library. With an intense combat system that allows players to change classes or gain the edge in battle with Fever Time, the journey to save the world Iffy-cially starts!”
If that made any sense to anyone, I wonder how many games I’d have to go through to understand. At this point, I think I could play one of them and become even more lost, but who knows, it’s definitely on my list of Vita games to pick up.
To be honest if the Game Gear character doesn’t tucker out every couple hours due to battery munching, they’ve missed an opportunity.
All this research of gaming history I’ve done of late does make me wonder if there is a character for the super obscure Turbo Grafx 16.
Fair enough.
New Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls will be available both digitally and physically, which is a huge deal to collectors sometimes. The game will also be playable on PSTV, which is a great way to enjoy this Vita library in the living room.
