With a launch date for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk set for February 2017, publisher Koei Tecmo America today unveiled a new game mode that players will experience, as well as new details on battle mechanics.
In the Endless Eclipse Mode, players enter the Eclipse dimension, where they will battle countless enemies, as they rush to complete a variety of missions, to overcome the Eclipse. Cutting their way through hordes of enemies, they will work their way up to more difficult missions and stronger foes, but success will grant better gear, that can be used in the main game mode.
The new battle mechanics unveiled today, has to do with the use of sub-weapons, which offer unique abilities and effects, but the added advantage comes at a cost, in the form of a cooldown after use. An example of the sub-weapons, would be Guts’ crossbow and arm canon, which allow for quick-fire or explosive long-range attacks. Zodd on the other hand, can perform brutal rush attacks to clear enemies from his path, while the young witch, Schierke, can cast powerful, high-damage, spells, as well as summon companions to aid her in battle. You can get a look at Schierke in action, by checking out the new trailer on YouTube.
