In just a few days, Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will be releasing a new statue, featuring the iconic Batmobile from the classic Batman television series.
The Batmobile statue is inspired by the Batman TV series, from the 1960s, which saw Adam West take on the role of the caped crusader, Batman, and Burt Ward as the Boy Wonder, Robin. Designed by Dennis Jones, with influences from the animated style of Southern California’s Kustom Kulture art, and sculpted by Stephan Ehl, the Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile Statue is hand painted, and stands nine inches tall.
The statue will be available at retailers nationwide, beginning on Jan. 18, 2017, with a price tag of $125. If the style of this design appeals to you, and you’re looking for more to add to your Batman collection, there will be a limited number of these available, 666 to be exact, in honor of the year that the classic series premiered (1966). More information about the statue, can be found on the official page.
While no longer as campy as he was in the 1960s, Batman remains one of DC Comics’ most beloved characters. You can learn more about the character, by visiting DC’s official site.
