Action figure and collectible manufacturer NECA, today unveiled plans to resurrect one of the most famous comic book boxing matches of all time, Superman vs. Muhammad Ali, in a new action figure two-pack.
In 1978, in the pages of DC Comics’ Superman vs. Muhammad Ali, the Greatest of All-Time proved that he truly was, by defeating Superman in a boxing match in what is now comic book history. Created by NECA, in conjunction with Authentic Brands Group, the owner of the Muhammad Ali brand, the two action figure set will come in a collectible window box packaging, recreating the famous bout, as they were posed on the original comic book’s cover. Both figures will be 7-inch tall, scale figures, with over 25 points of articulation.
NECA will be releasing the Superman vs. Muhammad Ali action figure set, at the end of January.
Muhammad Ali, would have been 75 years old this month, leaving a lasting legacy on the world, after his passing last year. Superman continues to be one of DC Comics’ iconic characters, as part of its powerful trinity, of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
