In addition to the announcement of Splatoon 2 this evening, Nintendo announced Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. The game will launch in April 2017.
The headliner for this port is the addition of the Splatoon boy and girl characters! Different color variants and having both genders is incredibly smart on Nintendo’s part here. During a jump, the kids turned into their squids for a split second, as well.
The trailer showed off a new racing track based on Splatoon, as well, giving a feel for the dystopian squid world from the game.
