Titan Comics, today announced that it would be adding three new titles to its new Hard Case Crime comic book line; Quarry, Normandy Gold, and Millennium: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Titan’s recent partnership with Hard Case Crime, which publishes crime novels, has seen the release of three comic book series so far, Peepland, Triggerman, and The Assignment. Its latest additions will give readers another chance to revisit some well-known book series.
Quarry’s War, based on the Quarry series by Max Allan Collins, gives readers a look at Quarry’s time as a sniper during Vietnam, as well as a deadly crisis he faces when figures from his past reappear after he comes home. The series will debut in November of 2017.
Millennium: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, will present a new vision of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium novels, which follows discredited journalist Mikael Blomkvist, who is hired to investigate a decades-old disappearance. With the help of a computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander, the pair find themselves on a trail of murder and deception. The series is written by Sylvain Runberg, and illustrated by José Homs and Man, with an all-new translation by Rachel Zerner. The first issue of the comic series, will be available on June 28, 2017.
Normandy Gold is a thriller, set in 1970s Washington D.C., written by Megan Abbot and Alison Gaylin, with art from Steve Scott. The series will follow Sheriff Normandy Gold, who embarks on a journey into the seedy underworld of prostitution and politics, with a conspiracy that could lead all the way to the White House, following the murder of her younger sister in a D.C. hotel. Normandy Gold issue number one will be available from Titan Comics on June 14, 2017.
