Earlier this week, comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics announced that its western magical girl comic series, Zodiac Starforce, would be getting a second miniseries, Cries of the Fire Prince, beginning this summer.
Debuting in 2015, the four-issue Zodiac Starforce: By the Power of Astra comic book miniseries, by Kevin Panetta and Paulina Ganucheau, follows an elite group of teenage girls gifted with magical powers, who have sworn to protect the planet from dark creatures. The series saw the team facing off with Diana and her mean girl minions, after an evil force infects Emma, their leader. The new four issue series, Cries of the Fire Prince, sees the girls return to action after having dealt with Diana, and facing off with a new big bad.
Zodiac Starforce: Cries of the Fire Prince will make its debut, with the first issue of four, on July 5, 2017. Following its single-issue release, a TPB edition of Zodiac Starforce: By the Power of Astra was released in May of 2016; for those of you curious to see what made this series worth a second adventure. This was actually a series that I collected as it was released, so I will be looking forward to adding this second adventure to my collection.
