Far Cry 5, after a week of teases and lead up, has been officially revealed. Not only that, we know that it will arrive on February 27th, 2018 (My Birthday!) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft Montreal will be leading development and will be in charge of creating the sinister Hope County, Montana.
Far Cry 5 will put you in the role of a yet unnamed junior deputy who is coming to blows with the Project at Eden’s Gate, a doomsday cult that is looking to make Hope County, Montana their own. They take over this county and cut your access from the outside world, and you must work with those willing to oppose them to take this area back.
Throughout your journey, and in typical Far Cry fashion, you will be using all types of vehicles including American muscle cars, boats, and even planes. You will also be able to recruit Guns and Fans for Hire, which will allow you to enlist the help of man and beast alike.
The entirety of Far Cry 5 will be playable in co-op and/or single-player, and it was even said that the map editor, last seen in Far Cry 3, will be returning, though no further details were given.
