Previous Story Below:
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment have revealed their newest LEGO title, and it is none other than LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Billed as a sequel to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, this will be an original adventure that will, once again, bring characters from across the Marvel Universe together.
Claiming to have a “branching storyline”, the focus this time will be going “head-to-head with the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in an epic battle across Chronopolis, from Ancient Egypt and The Old West to Sakaar and New York City in 2099. Along the way, gamers will be able to take control of a host of iconic characters, from Cowboy Captain America from the past to Spider-Man 2099 from the future along with Thor, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Green Goblin, and dozens of other Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villians.”
The developers are also touting a four-player multiplayer mode that will “allow friends and family to play competitively or cooperatively as a team.” While the LEGO games are known for their pick up and play co-op, this entry will also include a “Super Hero battling mode”, though no further details were given.
A teaser trailer was released along with the announcement and it…ahem…teases…that we will get a full trailer on May 26th.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14th, 2017. The Nintendo Switch version will be releasing “this holiday”.
Stay tuned for much more on LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and look forward to the reveal trailer on May 23rd!
