Distributor Section23 Films today unveiled its planned slate of releases for the month of September, which will include titles from Sentai Filmworks, Maiden Japan, and SoftCel Pictures.
Sentai Filmworks will be releasing three titles throughout the month, with its first two available on the 12th; the first season of Chihayafuru, available on Blu-ray ($99.98), DVD ($79.98), and in a premium edition combo pack ($199.98); and the Tamako -Love Story- anime film in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($39.98). The last of Sentai’s releases for September is the complete collection of Matoi The Sacred Slayer, available on the 19th on Blu-ray ($59.98) and DVD ($49.98). Chihayafuru and Tamako -Love Story- will include both English and Japanese audio options with English subtitles, while Matoi The Sacred Slayer will include Japanese audio and English subtitles only.
Maiden Japan will have one new release in September, as it kicks the month off on the 5th, with the Good Witch of the West complete collection. The series will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles, available on both Blu-ray ($59.98) and DVD ($49.98).
Newly resurrected adult anime publisher SoftCel Pictures will also be seeing one new release, as it drops Sex Hypnotist Zero on the 12th. The two-episode, visual novel-based hentai will be available on Blu-ray ($19.98) and features Japanese audio and English subtitles.
