Square Enix partnering with Bulletstorm Developer

Square Enix announced that it would be partnering with developer People Can Fly to produce an original title for PC and Console.

“We’re massively excited to be working with the talented team at PCF in Warsaw, a studio filled with people who really know their craft. We’re building a game we all want to play which will be the perfect addition to our portfolio.”-Lee Singleton, Studio Head at Square Enix London.

There is no current information on what the two studios will be developing, but if the past is any indication–it will be a shooter of some sort.  People Can Fly was founded in 2002, and is known for their game Bulletstorm, which was originally released in 2011, and re-released this past April as the Full Clip Edition for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox one. They also co-developed Gears Of War: Judgement for the Xbox 360 in 2013.  With the semi-announcement of the new title, People Can Fly is also expanding their studio and hiring for: Gameplay Programmers, an AI Programmer, and a VFX Artist.

Both studios sound excited to work with each other.

“It’s an exciting time .We’ve got a great and experienced team in place, and it’s incredible to be working with Square Enix, a world-class publisher who shares our passion and excitement for the project.- Sebastian Wojciechowski, Studio Head at People Can Fly.

It’s doubtful, we will hear any news of the project at this years E3, which is only a week away.  We can hope to see something in the near future about the upcoming title and what it will be.  With Square Enix and People Can Fly involved it’s sure to be a hell of ride and exciting.
