If you haven’t heard me rant about how much I love The Metronomicon, then you must not be listening hard. With it being a rhythm RPG with a ridiculous soundtrack, who couldn’t love it if you enjoy music games? The in depth rhythm slasher has been making its way to console for a few months now, but today we get a schmexy new trailer and a release date! AND THERE WAS MUCH DANCING.
I could go on and on about why I love this game, and it is all being ported to the console, but the review speaks for itself. With a new playable character and two player co-op, The Metronomicon – Slay the Dance Floor is shaping up to be the port of the year. (Maybe not quite that dramatic, but honestly, it is shaping up well.) Today it was announced that it will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 on Tuesday, August 29th, and for the Xbox One on Wednesday, August 30th. The title will be $19.99 as a digital title. Starting August 2nd, Xbox One players can pre-order the tile from the Xbox Games Store.
To celebrate the news, Puuba and Akupara Games released a new live action trailer that showcases some of the new features, as well as brings one of my favorite characters to life. Check out the new trailer below and prepare yourself to Slay the Dance Floor in just a month! P.S. Did we say the PAX East 2016 award they won from us is also featured? So as you can guess it’s a game you’ll want to check out.
