Activision, Bungie, 72andSunny, RSA Films, and Framestore have all combined to create a live-action trailer for the global launch of Destiny 2 happening next week. This two minute trailer, titled New Legends Will Rise, depicts Cayde-6 rallying three Guardians into battle to defend Earth against the invading Red Legion, the main conflict of Destiny 2 that we know of so far. This trailer was directed by Kong: Skull Island Director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts and is set to ‘Sabotage’ by Beastie Boys.
A 60-second version of New Legends Will Rise will debut on Saturday, September 2nd during the College Football game against the University of Alabama and Florida State University.
Destiny 2 will launch worldwide on September 6th, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on October 24th for PC. While the Beta for Destiny 2 on PC has just come to a close, you can read our impressions of the console Beta by clicking here. In the impressions, our writer, Josh Pedroza, breaks down his experience with the Beta and dives deep into his thoughts.
