Thumper, the “rhythm violence” game by Drool, will finally be headed to Xbox One on August 18th, 2017. First launched on PC and PlayStation 4/PSVR in late 2016, and since launched on Nintendo Switch, Thumper has you controlling a space beetle that has to survive an on-rails rhythm game that is an assault on the senses. It is a very challenging and rewarding game that encourages you to keep trying to master the game.
Douglas Spears reviewed Thumper for PC & Nintendo Switch for us when they launched and lauded the game for its wonderful tribal-based soundtrack, controls that are easy to learn but difficult to master, and a unique color pallet that is dark, yet pops. He ended up giving it a 9.5/10 for PC and 9.6/10 on the Switch, so if his recommendation is anything to go by, Xbox owners should not miss this one.
No pricing has been given, but considering it is $20 on PlayStation’s store, it’s safe to assume it will be around that price.
