Publisher My.com announced today that the Allods Team developed MMORPG Skyforge will be coming to Microsoft’s Xbox One console family later this year. Released this spring on Sony’s PlayStation 4 console, and available on PC, the Xbox One edition promises to bring the fight for the planet of Aelion to a whole new group of gamers.
Players join the fight to protect a planet that is terrorized by invasions from alien civilizations and which is littered with all sorts of powerful magic and technology. The action hits immediately as players create and customize their hero and jump into the battle to defend their world. Skyforge offers a blend of science fiction and fantasy and fifteen different classes that can be switched through on demand. No being locked into a single class here!

Pre-order options are now available via the Microsoft store. A Standard Founder Pack ($14.99) includes early access to the game (starting on November 10th, 2017), seven days of Premium Subscription time, and 10,000 Argents (the in-game currency). A Deluxe Founder Pack ($29.99) includes the same early access as Standard, but doubles the Premium and in-game currency, and adds a free unlock of the Berserker Class. The top tier Gold Founder Pack ($79.99) includes early access, the Berserker Class unlock, 40,000 Argents, 60 days of Premium, plus an unlock of the Gunner Class and an exclusive Glider mount. Pre-ordering any of these packs before November 10th will reward players with a pre-order bonus which contains a blue Cubie companion, a Biohazard suit, an additional seven days of Premium time and 3,000 Argents.

Unfortunately, there’s no word of whether the game is cross-playable between platforms. Getting PC, PS4, and Xbox One gamers all playing together in one world would likely be a fascinating experience, but the difficulties of getting the various multiplayer architectures to play nice in an MMORPG like this most likely make that an insurmountable problem.
