With the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox One X console, a number of games have been releasing updates to provide enhanced graphical experiences for gamers choosing either to upgrade from an existing Xbox One console, or getting into the Xbox One universe for the first time with an Xbox One X. Below are the announced games which feature improvements for the new console. Marooner’s Rock will keep this list updated as we receive new announcements.

– Resolution increased by 4x to 3200×1800
– Time Splitters 2 arcade machine now rendered in 4k
– More hi-res textures on screen at a given time
– Improved frame rate
– HDR support on both Xbox One X and Xbox One S - Mantis Burn Racing
– Now supports 4k resolutions, HDR, and anti-aliasing - World of Tanks
– HDR and 4k resolution. New players will receive a Starter Kit bundle that includes an American Tier II tank and three days of Premium time. - Rise of the Tomb Raider
– HDR support
– Spatial audio for true 3D sound
– Enhanced texture resolutions on Lara Croft, NPCs, and environments
– Other enhanced visuals for lighting, textures, foliage, and anti-aliasing.
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
– 4k texture support and HDR visuals. Players can choose between two graphical modes, one focusing on native 4k resolution with increased overall texture detail, and another providing increased general texture details such as increased draw distances, better shadow and lighting conditions, increased vegetation, and overall improved polygon counts and textures. - ARK: Survival Evolved
– “Detail Mode”, 30 FPS at 1440p resolution, or 60 FPS at 1080p resolution
– Split Screen mode for local co-op play.
– 70 player maximum on Xbox One X servers
– Faster loading times!
– Increased graphical fidelity in Detail Mode with increased draw distances, long-range shadows, and high quality textures.
