Monster Hunter World’s Day-One Patch Details

Monster Hunter World is almost upon us, and like most AAA titles, there will usually be a Day-One patch. Capcom has released details on what will be updated into Monster Hunter World upon its release this Friday, January 26th.

Aside from minor bugs and glitches that need patching up, Update 1.01 will also include new features and modes. The most noteworthy and adorable feature will be Poogies. These cute pig like creatures will be included in the patch, but won’t be given to players until they progress further into the story. There will also be a new Gallery option in the main menu, which will let players watch cutscenes again.

Update 1.01 will be approximately 815 MB. Here is the full list of details that were listed on the Monster Hunter World website.

Additional System Features

  • Multiplayer, event quests, chat functionality, and other online features
  • Now able to claim content via the Housekeeper in your room
  • Gallery Mode added to the title menu
    The gallery allows you to view all of the cutscenes you have watched so far in the game. The player character that appears in the cutscenes will vary depending on which save data you have loaded.

Poogies Added

Once you have made enough progress in the story, a Poogie will appear in the tradeyard in Astera. Get the Poogie to warm up to you by petting it in just the right way! Once it’s friendly with you, pick it up and carry it to different places throughout Astera… and you might just be rewarded for your kindness!

Monster Hunter World will be released this Friday, January 26th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
