Good Shepherd Entertainment released a brand new trailer for Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, giving everyone a much anticipated release date of February 28.
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, original story-driven adventure game from co-developers Dim Bulb Games and Serenity Forge, is about traversing across the United States. While trying to survive Manifest Destiny, players will encounter an eclectic cast of characters who have many folktales and personal stories to tell. The surrealist journey combines 2D visuals with a 3D overworld US map, featuring incredible illustrations by Kellan Jett and Serenity Forge. According to the game’s Wiki page, there are a variety of locations players can explore. All known areas are within the general region of the present-day United States, with potential overlap into present-day Mexico. Known areas include San Francisco, New York City, the Rockies/the American Southwest, the Midwest, and the Southeastern United States,
The game also uniquely utilizes the collaborative writing effort of 15 writers to dig deep into the fantastical and surreal of every story told throughout the game. The list includes writers like Anne Toole (The Wticher), Jolie Menzel (South Park: The Fractured But Whole), and of course, Johnnemann Nordhagen, co-founder of Fullbright and founder of Dim Bulb. There is also a marvelous cast, which includes voice actors like Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series), Cissy Jones (Firewatch), Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect), and renowned singer-songwriter, musician and actor, Sting.

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine will be available for $19.99. The newly announced “Wayfarer” edition, which includes a digital copy of the game’s OST, composed by Ryan Ike, and a digital art book for download, will also be available for $26.99.
