New Closers Event – Tina Versus Harpy Puts Players In Charge of Next Wolf Dog

Closers Boxart

I’ve been spending a lot of game time playing Closers since it came out of Open Beta last month. It’s got a good blend of action, unique stories for each character, and a mission design that’s perfectly playable in short bursts. Publisher En Masse Entertainment continues to support the game with new content, and has announced that the next big update is being put into the hands of the players themselves.

Billed as “Tina Versus Harpy”, players are being asked to vote on the next character to join the Wolf Dogs Team – firearm specialist Tina, or aerial brawler Harpy. Starting on March 6th, and running through Wednesday, March 14th, players are asked to use Wolf Dog Cookies (a special loot drop item) to craft either a Tina or Harpy Support Box item. Each support box crafted counts as one vote for that character.

Players can earn materials to craft these boxes, and special 8-Bit Tina or Harpy masks, in the following ways: stage clears, PvP wins, Daily Login rewards, and as a special bonus for hitting level seventy with any character. The Closers PR team has also been encouraging activity on Twitter with the hashtag #TinaVsHarpy. There’s been some great fan art showing up in those threads!

Along with the Tina vs. Harpy event, the new patch increases the level cap for Nata (the most recently released member of the Wolf Dogs) up to seventy, matching the rest of the available members of the Black Lambs and Wolf Dogs. A Washing Machine revolution event, featuring a new dungeon for characters level thirty or higher, is also on tap for this month’s content release.

Another look at Tina

Closers continues to impress me with its focus on character stories, and being shockingly generous with its content, particularly given its free-to-play model. We’ll have a full review coming in the next couple of weeks here on Marooners’ Rock, and interested gamers can always check out the official website and Twitter feed.
