Behaviour Digital has announced that Deathgarden will be receiving a Closed Alpha starting Wednesday, May 9th at 3PM Eastern, and will run through the end of the day on Sunday, May 13th. Those lucky enough to get in will be able to test out the asymmetrical multiplayer action game where “powerful Hunters prey on agile Runners within the Garden.” If you haven’t signed up yet, head over to the Deathgarden’s website, and keys will gradually be sent out over the course of the Alpha and beyond.
The creative director of Deathgarden, Ashley Pannell, wanted to create a game “Where controls are always responsive for both the runner and the hunter. It is about the users’ abilities and the choices they make to master the map.”
For those unfamiliar, Deathgarden is set in the near future and focuses on a real blood sport that happens to be the most popular entertainment on the planet, where powerful Hunters prey on agile Runners. The Runners are trying to escape The Garden, which is the arena that is different every play session, and the Hunter’s job is to stop them by whatever means necessary.
To kickoff the Closed Alpha, Behaviour Interactive will be having a Kickoff Livestream on May 9th, at 2PM Eastern on Twitch.tv/deathgardengame.
As previously stated, Deathgarden is being developed by Behaviour Interactive, Canada’s largest independent game developer, and is the studio responsible for such games a Dead by Daylight, which has sold over 3.5 million copies as of this writing.
