Dragon Ball FighterZ will be receiving a free update on Wednesday, May 11th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. This newest update will feature two new additions to the game, the FighterZ Cup and Party Battle. FighterZ Cup is a “Monthly competition where players can fight and collect points for their respective Z-Union.” Party Battle, on the other hand, will let three players battle together against bosses. In addition to these new features, Bandai Namco has issued a ton of balance tweaks and gameplay fixes, and you can see the entire list here.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is continuously updated, and there are still plenty more DLC characters to come. Bardock and Broly have already joined the fight, and Fused Zamasu has been announced as the next character to join. For those unaware, Fused Zamasu is the combination of Goku Black and Future Zamasu and was featured in Dragon Ball Super.
You can read our review of Dragon Ball FighterZ, in which reviewer Mike Robles gave the game a 9.8 and said, “A New Challenger Approaches and its name is Dragon Ball FighterZ. Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have delivered something astounding and I know that myself, and the FGC are excited to bear witness of what’s to come in this game’s life cycle.”

Also, I recently started watching Dragon Ball from the beginning and am almost done with the original series. It is definitely worth a watch and really enhances the enjoyment of these games. I can’t wait to see where the series goes when I jump into Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, but I am all onboard now. Go Dragon Ball!
