Outright Games and Crayola announce a new partnership to create new video game titles for children of all ages for the current generation of video game consoles. Crayola, the worldwide producer of Children’s creative expression products, and Outright Games have announced that a new art based video game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this fall.
This is not the first time that Crayola has partnered with a video game publisher to release a video game based off of the artistic franchise. In 2007, Nintendo published a Crayola themed video game published by Crave Entertainment called Crayola Treasure Adventures. Could their next video game be an adventure or puzzle game similar to the Witness or could it be a shooter similar to Splatoon?
Warren Schorr, Vice President of Business Development and Global Licensing at Crayola, stated:
“At Crayola, we’re all about inspiring creativity through color and innovative play experiences, and our partnership with Outright Games allows us to extend that passion to new and exciting areas.”
Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games, excitedly shared his thoughts on the new partnership,
“We are thrilled to partner with Crayola as they return to the video game space. Crayola’s drive to provide kids everywhere with relevant and imaginative virtual activities has been an inspiration to us. As we create entertainment for people of all ages to enjoy, we are excited to combine our expertise to develop a brand new way of experiencing creativity with Crayola.”
Before this announcement, we had not heard of Outright Games. Outright Games was founded in 2016 and is focused on creating family-friendly entertainment.
“We are passionate about creating great games with quality licenses, as we understand the value of brands, and the relationships they share with consumers. We use our expertise to create high-quality video games, combined with our ability to distribute on a global scale. Wherever the Outright Games logo is found, you can feel assured that the game will be suitable and fun for the whole family to play together.”
Although there is no information about the new project, both companies have stated that the new game is aimed towards children of all ages. Could this new game become a craze like Minecraft? What interesting features could the two come up with to entice a new generation of gamers?
