“Wizard of Legend” Dungeon Crawler Released!!!

Wizard of Legend (Contingent99, Cross-Platform) - Wallpaper

Today marks the cross-platform release of Kickstarter game Wizard of Legend by the developer Contingent99! This 2D dungeon crawler is geared toward fast-paced action and boasts over 100 different spells. Furthermore, you can combine those spells for a multitude of devastating effects, as you cast one after another in rapid succession.

Modeled after the halcyon days of the SNES action-adventure titles, Wizard of Legend is a nostalgia kick with a modern attention to player diversity. The variety of spells caters to various play styles, from those inclined toward up close and personal action to those who favor orchestrating a battle with effects and minions. Then again, you could always simply nuke your enemies and feel like a demigod.

This game also promotes a two-person local co-op mode, where you and a friend can blast through swaths of enemies while chaining spell effects in new and interesting ways. To make it better, the developer has promised that they will release new, free content later in the year! This will include new arenas, a versus mode, and a completely new chapter for single and co-op campaigns!

To make it even better, the game procedurally generates its dungeons, which means that you will have a new challenge each time that you play! Considering how many spells, artifacts, and outfits there are to unlock here, replaying this title could be well worth your time!

If you care to explore this world and discover its bunches of bouncing bad guys, you can find it either on Steam or, if you’re looking to play on a console, you can find it on Humble Bundle here!

Make sure to support the indies as they try to break into this fantastic if difficult industry!

An English and Western Laws & Ethics graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Matt’s doing his best to find his way back to Middle Earth or Naboo. However, the closest he can get is reading, writing, or gaming, so he’s trying to accept his lack of pet dragons and devoting himself to those things instead. In his spare time, he practices traditional Chinese Ken-Po in the hopes that he will someday become an Earth Bender.
