For those of you unaware, Wonder Boy is a remake and modernization of a 1989 cult classic action-adventure platformer. The player journeys as a lone soul who has been cursed into a half-human, half-lizard form by the Meka-Dragon. Seeking a cure, our hero will find themselves facing a multitude of monsters and dragons while resorting to further shape changing in order to reach their goal. Then again, morphing between a mouse, a lizard, a piranha, a hawk, and a lion repeatedly is sure to leave its mark.

Wond"Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap," DotEmu, Cross-Platform - Pirate BossLaunched in 2017, this reboot won the hearts of gamers with hand-drawn animation, a re-orchestrated soundtrack, and loving faithfulness to the original game, including access to the same passwords (or “cheats”) available then. There is even an option to play in the game’s original 8-bit style or swap back to its modern visuals at any time! You can also revert to the game’s original music from the ‘80s to get the full retro experience. If you really want to synthesize these options, you might try using the modern graphics with the classic score playing in the background or the other way around!

Better yet, a new character known as Wonder Girl has been introduced, along with three difficulty settings.
