Dontnod Entertainment Announces Twin Mirror

Recently, Dontnod Entertainment released their newest title, Vampyr. Not even a week later, and the developer has revealed their next project, Twin Mirror, a story driven mystery thriller that is already promised to be out in 2019 according to publisher Bandai Namco. Dontnod has stated the game will be heavily reliant on investigating, and considering how well the social mechanics work in Vampyr, we can expect the same quality of storytelling for Twin Mirror.

Twin Mirror’s trailer puts the focus on the main protagonist Sam (I must confess that I initially thought the voice actor sounded extremely similar to Chris Pratt). What we know from the trailer is that Sam is returning to his hometown after a death of an old friend. His hometown doesn’t quite feel like home anymore as he states in his narration. Moments later in the trailer, we find Sam waking up with bloody clothes and no recollection of the night before, thus beginning the mystery.

Dontond CEO, Oskar Guilbert states, “Twin Mirror is a game heavily rooted in the concept of duality, redemption and self-acceptance and is on track to deliver a stunning emotional journey.”

We’re not sure when we’ll receive more information, but this being close to E3, we may get some more details. Twin Mirror is set to release in 2019 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC.
