E3 2018: Halo Infinite Announced

Next Installment in the Hallmark Series

"Halo Infinite," 343 Industries, Xbox One, E3 Announcement - Trailer Screen Shot

Right at the start of the XBox Briefing during E3, they dangled a bit of juicy bait in front of us: A teaser trailer for the next “Halo” game. “Halo Infinite” does not yet have a release date, nor have we seen much of the story. All we know for sure is that the Master Chief is coming back! Welcome home, John.

It’s been three years since the last installment, so it was about time that they cranked out another! What is there to expect in this game? Hopefully we’ll find out soon!

Enjoy this teaser! If the game itself is half that gorgeous, then we will be in for a good time!

Unfortunately, this trailer was mostly a showcase demonstrating the gorgeous graphics. Once again, you will find yourself on a halo and there were some possibly stranded soldiers. They looked kind of beat up, judging by the limping guy. Maybe their Pelican crashed? Either way, they set a flare and the Master Chief spotted it.

The trailer also stated that the game is powered by the studio’s Slipspace Engine. Seems to be doing a marvelous job and we can’t wait to hear more!

Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft gaming, said that this will be “Master Chief’s greatest adventure yet” and the story is set to focus on him. We’ll see if the game lives up to that kind of hype! I mean, it’s kind of hard to beat the story and action from “Halo 4.” Let’s hope that 343 Industries is able to deliver on that promise!

Also, is it just me, or is this the first time we’ve had a good look at the wildlife that lives on these halos?

An English and Western Laws & Ethics graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Matt’s doing his best to find his way back to Middle Earth or Naboo. However, the closest he can get is reading, writing, or gaming, so he’s trying to accept his lack of pet dragons and devoting himself to those things instead. In his spare time, he practices traditional Chinese Ken-Po in the hopes that he will someday become an Earth Bender.
