Square Enix’s 2018 E3 Lineup

Square Enix has just announced their game and event lineup for this year’s E3! They are especially eager to display “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit,” “Dragon Quest XI,” “Final Fantasy XIV Online,” Just Cause 4,” the long-awaited “Kingdom Hearts III,” and “Shadow of the Tomb Raider!” Stationed at booth #1601 in the L.A. Convention Center’s South Hall, these guys may be well worth the visit. For those of us viewing from home, though, we ought to stay tuned. These are fantastic games in line for showcasing!

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit:

The “Captain Spirit” event will include a narrative demo, as they introduce what promises to be a touching and poignant story! They have even promised that there will be hints and connections to “Life Is Strange 2.” We can only hope that we will be so lucky! This story of a 10-year old boy will be made available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on June 26th!

Dragon Quest XI:

“Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age” is a new, standalone game in the critically acclaimed series! This one follows a hero who appears to be hunted as he seeks to unravel his destiny and the mystery of a new threat to his world. Within the event, attendees will have access to the game’s first introduction to the West! Those lucky enough to play the demo will also get a free t-shirt. Anyone who visits the Square Enix booth will also be invited to have their picture taken and posted on the game’s photo wall in order to enter a limited time raffle! “Dragon Quest XI” will be available on the PS4 and Steam, come September 4th!

Final Fantasy XIV Online:

By now, I’m sure that we are all familiar with “Final Fantasy XIV Online,” at least in some capacity. Square Enix is taking this chance to promote their free trial, available here http://www.ffxiv-freetrial.com. Those who make it to the show floor will also get to experience some of the new “Stormblood” add on. Should the player be victorious, they too will get a t-shirt! “FF Online” is currently out for Mac, PC, and PS4.

Just Cause 4:

“Just Cause 4” is bringing back all of the stuff that you loved about it before! The destruction, the physics, Rico Rodriguez, his parachute, wingsuit, grappling hook… You name it! They’re cranking it up a notch, though, as “Just Cause 4” introduces fully simulated tornadoes and other extreme weather conditions. This one will come out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 4th.

Kingdom Hearts III:

The “Kingdom Hearts” franchise won our hearts when we were kids, teens, adults… It made itself wonderfully accessible for all ages! Now the long-awaited “Kingdom Hearts III” will be featuring at Sqaure Enix’s booth! E3 attendees will get a chance to play a demo, facing off against the Rock Titan from “Hercules” and adventure through the world of “Toy Story!” This latest entry will also visit others of Disney’s and Pixar’s greatest hits, such as “Monster’s Inc.,” “Big hero 6,” “Tangled,” and a plethora of others like “Frozen!” This beauty will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 on January 29th!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

“Shadow of the Tomb Raider” follows one of Laura Croft’s greatest adventures and, judging by the trailer, one of her biggest mistakes. This time around, she will struggle to save the world from the Mayan apocalypse as she traverses a deadly jungle, hazardous tombs, and braves her own personal demons. Let’s see what Square Enix has to offer us at E3 regarding this thrilling tale, shall we? “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” will be for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 14th.
