It’s time for that wonderful old cash cow to come out again! That’s right, Nintendo has announced that it’s launching “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” for the Switch this year! It’ll hit us like a freight train on December 7th, so get that Christmas list ready!
New And Old Features Unite:
This new entry will allow EIGHT players to mix it up with classic, adored video game characters as you try to kick them into a bottomless pit or rushing river!
Oh, but you think that’s all? This game promises to feature EVERY SINGLE FIGHTER ever even featured in this series! You want to determine which character is the best? Well, this is your chance! There will also be some new contestants, such as Ridley from “Metroid” and Inkling from “Splatoon.”

Compatible Controllers and Amiibos:
Those of you who have a penchant for nostalgia or actually usable controls, this game will support GameCube controllers, both original and new! If you’ve been collecting “Smash Bros.” amiibo figures, guess what! Any amiibo figure from the series AND any fighter’s figure from other series will be compatible! There will also be Handheld and Tabletop modes that support online play, so get ready for some fierce competition!
Yoohoo! Big Summer Blowout!
In celebration of E3 2018, the Nintendo eShop will also have several digital games that contributed to “Smash Bros.” on sale. Starting June 19th (9:00am PT) and ending June 21st (8:59am PT), this sale will cater to the Switch and 3DS systems. A full list of the games in this sale can be found here on June 14th!!! Games can be purchased directly from the website or from the eShop as usual. If you feel like you ever missed anything, this may be your chance! We can’t wait to see what one of the biggest crossovers in gaming history will bring us! This is gonna be great!
