At Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press briefing, we got some important information regarding how the community is going to be involved with the anticipated sequel. For Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ubisoft is partnering with HitRECord, a company founded by actor Joseph Gordon Levitt. Being called the Space Monkey Program, Ubisoft is going to allow fans to collaborate together and provide new content for BGE2 such as music and poster designs.
Creators can submit their own work, but they can also build off of pre-existing work that will be displayed on the site. Don’t worry, this is not going to be unpaid labor for all contributors. Based on the intent to use and item type, some contributors may end up getting paid for their work.
As of right now, creators can start developing their own content with the tag “BGE2” to get it reviewed by the Ubisoft team. To get started, head to hitrecord.org/bgegame and link your Space Monkey Program account. More information can be found on Ubisoft’s website.
