Square Enix has just launched “Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth” on mobile devices! This is the first entry in the iconic “Valkyrie Profile” series. If you have never played, this could be a great introduction! If you have played, but need a nostalgia kick, then maybe this will be worth the $16. It is ON SALE only through June 4th on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS. If you know you want this game, now might be the time to jump at it.

Mobile Version:

The mobile version, although largely similar to the original 1999 release, has come with a couple of upgraded features. To facilitate playing on and off throughout the day, “Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth” for mobile now has an autosave function along with auto-battle, for those enemies you just can’t be bothered with.

The Game Itself:

Otherwise, the mobile version promises to be faithful to the critically acclaimed original it is adapted from. The same adored RPG elements remain in tandem with the combat’s reliance on combo moves. Best of all, the story is based on Norse mythology AND has multiple endings depending upon the player’s decisions. Doesn’t get much better than that, right? Fans of the “Star Ocean” series might also recognize Motoi Sakuraba’s musical style in this game.

Further Reading:

If you want to know more about the game, Square Enix says that you should visit the game’s official website. However, if we’re going, to be honest, that website has almost nothing on it aside from some cool art and pleasant music. You’d do better to just check Wikipedia or something.

Still, their Twitter page is reliable and probably provides more support from the community!

For more about Square Enix, Inc. themselves, visit their website here! Word is that their mobile branches in Montréal and London are hiring too, so that could be worth a gander! These are the guys who make the “Final Fantasy” and “Dragon Quest” games, after all!

An English and Western Laws & Ethics graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Matt’s doing his best to find his way back to Middle Earth or Naboo. However, the closest he can get is reading, writing, or gaming, so he’s trying to accept his lack of pet dragons and devoting himself to those things instead. In his spare time, he practices traditional Chinese Ken-Po in the hopes that he will someday become an Earth Bender.
