Destiny 2: The Forsaken is just on the horizon. To help build up the excitement, Bungie has released a brand new launch trailer to give us more insight into The Forsaken’s epic story. Sadly though, according the trailer, Cayde has died. For me personally, I don’t believe that Cayde will stay permanently dead, considering they got Nolan North to take over the role.
In addition to the launch trailer, Bungie has also released a short video documentary from the team, discussing the changes and excitement they have for this upcoming expansion. It’s always nice to see the passion game developers have. Say what you will about Destiny, but there’s no doubt the team there loves what they do and what they’ve created. The documentary also gives us a little tease on what to expect with Year Two’s first season: The Season of The Outlaw.
As of now, we know that the first week of release will include The Forsaken campaign, as well as the new PvPvE mode, Gambit. As the year goes on, players will need to purchase the Annual Pass this time around. The Annual Pass is granting players with constant updates and content releases all year round. Some of these updates include the Black Armory, which will give players access to some of the most ridiculous weapons ever created in the Destiny universe. There’s also some additional information some of the later updates, such as Joker’s Wild in Spring 2019, as well as Penumbra in Summer 2019.
Destiny 2: The Forsaken releases on September 4 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
