Ubisoft has now released the third and final Far Cry 5 DLC expansion, Dead Living Zombies. Far Cry 5 really tried to up the ante with their ridiculous DLC concepts ever since Far Cry 3:Blood Dragon. The most recent add-on for the title was Lost on Mars, which is pretty self-explanatory. For Dead Living Zombies, well…it’s zombies.
The expansion has players following the vision of movie director Guy Marvel. Marvel has a plan to release an epic zombie sage, but needs the players helps to experience them first-hand in horde mode style arenas built entirely from the Far Cry Arcade Editor. According to Ubisoft, players will partake in seven different zombie movie scenarios, which will take places in areas such as farmlands and military bases. After completing each map, players can unlock Score Attack to achieve three-star ratings, which will unlock weapons and gear for the main campaign.
In addition to add-on, Ubisoft has released a large update that will include the much requested New Game+ mode. The New Game+ mode will let players start the game over with all their perks and gear, but will also add new additional perks. On top of that, players can take on New Game+ in the new difficulty, Infamous. Infamous will give enemies more health, but will also make the AI that much smarter to quickly react to player actions.
The update will also include new Far Cry Arcade features such as Destructible Objects and The Scripting Tool. The Scripting Tool is there for mapmakers to constantly take control of their maps based on player actions, such as adding music, changing scenery, and removing objects.
Far Cry 5: Dead Living Zombies is available today for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
