Hyper Universe Officially Launches on Xbox One

When the term MOBA is used, what comes to mind? Does League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Dota 2, or Smite come to mind or do gamers think of lesser-known titles such as War Clash, Gigantic, AirMech, or Guilty Gear 2: Overture? Rockers or fans of any of the titles listed above or just the MOBA genre then Nexon America’s Hyper Universe might be the next hit MOBA game to sweep the gaming community.  As of yesterday, Xbox Live gamers can download Hyper Universe for free!

At launch, Hyper Universe includes thirty-nine (39) unique characters, each with their own distinct combat abilities and styles. Players, known as Hypers, will conduct combat in one of two maps: Delta Station or Dragon Refuge. Delta Station is a military outpost controlled by a powerful captain whereas Dragon Refuge is described as a lush forest environment with a huge dragon hiding deep within the jungle. These two maps could give players a unique experience if utilized appropriately. The dragon and the captain may play a similar role to that of Baron Nashor from League of Legends, granting the victorious Hypers a buff.

Players can practice how to use their Hypers in custom matches, allowing the user to adapt to the side-scrolling element. Players can also practice skills with friends in the custom lobby if the PVP scene is not ideal. A spectator Mode has been included to allow players the opportunity to watch other players matches and see how the community utilizes each hyper.  Hyper Universe is Xbox One X Enhanced with 4K Ultra HD and HDR. Hyper Universe offers daily and weekly missions that will grant players (Hypers) skin rewards and a coupon to unlock any skin in the game.

Each week new hypers and skins will become available in the new Hyper shop. Players will also have the opportunity to try out different Hypers each week with the free character rotation. In order to celebrate the official launch of Hyper Universe, players who play and win ten matches between August 7 and September 10, 2018, will receive an Xbox One exclusive Aurora’s Blade Skin for Allen.  Xbox Live gamers will also have the opportunity to purchase the Ultimate Hypers Pack for $19.99 on Xbox One. According to Nexon America, the Ultimate Hypers Pack has an estimated value of$120; the pack grants instant access to all Hypers at launch, all future Hypers, and six Xbox-exclusive Hyper skins and unique equipment for Arslan, Athena, Blue Rose, Cain, Ignitia and Turner to show off on the battlefield.
