NEXT Studio’s Puzzle Adventure ‘Iris.Fall’ Releasing Late 2018

Iris.Fall

Publisher Zodiac Interactive announced today that NEXT Studio, creator of the multi-award winning puzzler Death Coming, will be releasing their second title, Iris.Fall, late this year.

In the middle of a brilliant, mysterious atmosphere, Iris.Fall focuses on a young girl named Iris who follows a black cat into a seemingly abandoned theater. She discovers a dreamworld where furniture is precariously stacked, eyes embedded into walls watch her every move, and staircases turn and twist. The farther she ventures into the theater, the more hidden connections she discovers about herself. What does it all mean?

Playing with light and shadows, as well as 2D and 3D, Iris.Fall creates an immersive feeling of switching between two worlds, which runs throughout the art, story, and puzzles. As featured in the screenshots below, the game has a beautiful blend of black and white, and antique tones. There isn’t much information regarding a narrative, but the game’s Steam page describes the story as a “spiritual exploration.” Perhaps the story will unfold in a similar way to Limbo or Inside, where the puzzles and atmosphere create the story by mere interaction.
