Its been about a week since Destiny 2’s biggest expansion, The Forsaken, was released. For this expansion, Bungie has laid out a map essentially for the weeks to come, in which other forms of content will be released. The first week and a half was just Forsaken’s campaign and the newly added Gambit mode. Bungie wanted to give players plenty of time to get their Power Level up, since the first raid for the expansion, The Last Wish, goes live this Friday, September 14.
So far The Forsaken is generous with it’s Powerful Gear drops, as there are plenty of challenges and milestones to take part in. Once players hit Power Level 500, they will basically reach the hard cap, where any higher level gear will need to be earned from Powerful Gear and Prime Engrams. The Last Wish Raid will have a recommendation of 540 – 550 for players’ Power Level. So for those who haven’t gotten there yet, I hope you’ve cleared your schedules to take on those Milestones. Luckily, Prime Engrams can also be dropped at random, which will always give players gear that is better than what they already have.
With all that being said, with the Destiny raids, not many will actually finish the raid on Day 1, so don’t feel pressured to get started on Friday. Most Fireteams will have no clue what to do, but Bungie has stated the new raid will be more focused on bosses than the more puzzle-oriented raids from Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid.
So gear up for the weekend, and make sure to also unlock the Dreaming City endgame area. This is where players can take on higher level challenges and earn that sweet loot. Be sure to check out our review later after we get some time to take on The Last Wish.
