And On This Farm Sim, We Now Have Horses

Here in the Upper Midwest, farmers are trying to get the last of their crops harvested before everything starts getting covered with snow. However, virtual farmers had best start getting ready for a whole new round of crop harvesting, vehicle driving, and animal raising with Farming Simulator 19 coming out in November. Today this popular sim released a new gameplay trailer showing off the livestock options, all tied together by a new rideable vehicle – the horse!

Horses are going to be kind of a big deal in this iteration of Farming Simulator 19. Not only are they rideable, but players can also raise them up and sell them for high prices. Other new additions include hay and oat crops, which you’ll need to keep your horses happy. Big Green (John Deere) joins the game for the first time, adding even more variety to the driveable vehicle selection. Unique transport options for horses and other livestock (as shown in the above trailer) are also going to be new to this edition of the game.

For players who don’t want to farm alone, Farming Simulator 19 will allow up to sixteen players to cooperatively farm online together. Developer GIANTS Software promises that the entire graphics engine has been overhauled this year to make the best looking farming simulation ever. It should be real enough that players should almost be able to smell the manure. Or if they happen to live near actual farms like this writer, they could just leave their windows open.

This looks like a great two person team operation right here.

In addition to the newly added John Deere vehicles, the available farming equipment will feature items from major manufacturers such as Case IH, New Holland, Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, Krone, and Deutz-Fahr. Over three hundred vehicles will be available in the final game.

Farming Simulator 19 will be available on November 20th. It is coming to the Sony PlayStation®4 and Microsoft Xbox One family of consoles, and PCs via Steam.
