Once again, the wait is unbearable. Today, Rockstar released what is most likely the last Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer we’re going to get before release. We got a quick one minute launch trailer that essentially gives a little more insight into the overall narrative.
The launch trailer doesn’t seem to reveal anything new to what we’ve already been told for the story, which I’m okay with it. The less I know the better. So far, we know that Dutch van der Linde’s gang goes on one last train robbery to set them up for life. However, things look to go south (pun-intended) very quickly, and now they are on the run from the law. Players will step into the shoes of Arthur Morgan, who looks to be Dutch’s right-hand man. It’s been reported that the game’s story is roughly around 60 hours long, which may be Rockstar’s longest game to date.
The biggest surprise we got in the trailer was a quick line of dialogue from voice actor Robert Wiethoff, who voiced John Marston in the original Red Dead Redemption. It’s already been known that we will see a young John Marston in this prequel, but it was still a delight to hear his voice again. Check out the launch trailer below!
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches next week on Friday, October 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
