As someone who does enjoy watching some award shows, when it comes to Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards is one event I enjoy. This year’s broadcast that happens to be set for Thursday, December 6 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will live stream to gamers around the world across a record-setting 40 global video networks, including expanded distribution in China. This alone is great news for viewership since more than just the US will have eye on this show. Maybe, we’ll see more of Death Stranding that we still don’t know nothing about after years of teasing?
Though after the teaser video below. I’m looking forward to the categories we’ll be having for this year. Plus the voting on the best Discord server can only have me guess on what servers will be on this list and how it’ll be done. Full information of what providers will be featuring this show are below as well as details on when you can start voting.
“Video games are a common passion around the world, and in 2018, The Game Awards is expanding its distribution to celebrate the power of games in more places than ever before,” said Geoff Keighley, creator/executive producer of The Game Awards. “We’re also giving gamers even more choice in how they select winners across the web, social media, Alexa Voice, Google Assistant, and for the first time ever, via a Discord server.”
