Anthem Demo Dates Revealed

Anthem Demo Dates Revealed

At E3 2017, EA revealed Bioware’s upcoming title Anthem. Anthem is currently being marketed as an online multiplayer action role-playing video game. The game is scheduled to be released on February 22nd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. After little information was provided about the upcoming title at E3 2018, gamers have eagerly awaited the previously announced Anthem Demo.

At the end of January, gamers who preordered Anthem, EA access members, or Origins members (VIPs) will have the opportunity to get a first-hand experience at Anthem, a week prior to the start of the public demo. From January 25th to 27th VIP players will get to experience the scenic Bioware project that looks to give Bungie’s Destiny a run for its money.  All private beta participants will receive an exclusive item highlighting their participation in the private event.

Starting on February 1st, gamers around the world will have the opportunity to experience the world of Anthem like their VIP counterparts. The public event will run from February 1st to 3rd. According to Bioware, each player will start the demo at Level 10 but any progress made during the demo will not carry over upon the game’s release on February 22nd.

Upon release, Anthem might receive an enhanced edition of gameplay on the Xbox One X.  With its reveal at E3 on the Xbox stage, Anthem could possibly receive exclusive or timed DLC throughout its lifetime. EA needs their upcoming title to be successful after its struggle with the last decade. At the moment, EA is remaining afloat due to their stranglehold on the Sports Genre. EA has seen its fair share of failures with Need for Speed, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Star Wars Battlefront. Anthem’s open world environment might just be the door that helps EA repair its relationship with its community or be the final brick that breaks the giant’s back.
