The second episode of The Legacy of the First Blade is now available for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The second episode of this three-part DLC series is titled Shadow Heritage. For those who have the Season Pass, this will be available to download, or it can be purchased individually.
Shadow Heritage takes place in the Achaia region and has Kassandra (or Alexios) up against a warlord named The Tempest. This episode DLC series is appropriately named to explore the origins of the first Hidden Blade. Ubisoft recommends that players’ characters should be at around level 28 when starting the new episode. Shadow Heritage will introduce a fresh batch of Cultists to slay, the Order of the Storm. So this should definitely keep players busy.
On top of a brand new adventure, Shadow Heritage will also bring in a new skill for players, Rapid Fire, which will be part of the Hunter skill tree. This new ability is very explanatory; you can rapid fire arrows. It’s very similar to the light bows in Origins, which was my personal favorite bow type in that game. The new episode will also introduce a new upgrade for the Adrestia, known as Chimera’s Breath. This new weapon for your ship will be a pair of mounted flame throwers, so that’s awesome I must say.
Ubisoft is definitely not fooling around with their post-release content. Even Odyssey without the Season Pass is still a full package worth $60. It’s nice knowing that there is much more content planned. The final episode of the Legacy of the First Blade, Bloodline, will release some time in March. The remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Liberation are also slated to release in March according to Ubisoft. The next expansion adventure will be The Fate of Atlantis, which does not have an estimated release window yet.
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass, which includes the two story arcs Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis, can be purchased for $39.99. Legacy of the First Blade is also available separately for $24.99.
