Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition Revealed

Metro Exodus Steam Train

Now that’s a collector’s edition! Today Deep Silver, 4A Games, and Metro author Dmitry Glukhovsky revealed the Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition. This extremely limited run consists of only ten copies, none of which will be available for sale.

Each Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition includes a certificate of authenticity personally signed by Dmitry Glukhovsky and Andrew “Prof” Prokhorov, the creative director and co-founder of 4A Games. These hand-assembled editions feature a selection of Metro Exodus protagonist Artyom’s iconic equipment, including a fully functional Nixie watch.

“We worked with the renowned craftsmen at DB Props, based in the world-famous Shepperton Studios to source and manufacture the ultimate collection for Metro fans,” said Huw Beynon, head of global brand management at Deep Silver. “Each item is either an authentic real-world object or has been hand-made to re-create 4A’s original designs. We knew we could never do Artyom’s signature Nixie watch justice with a replica; so we decided to make them for real.”

Of the ten copies made for this promotion, the very first one was given to 4A games. That leaves nine editions up for grabs for fans to win in a series of contests that will be run in the coming weeks. The question is, if you won one, would you open it? Or would it stay on a shelf, safely preserved as an investment? The full contents list isn’t going to make that an easy decision. Each Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition contains the following items:Metro Exodus Artyom Custom Edition

  • A working bullet lighter made from a decommissioned shell
  • Hand-made steel Spartan dog tag which will be engraved with the recipient’s name
