Prepare your potions and strap on your swords, because Monster Hunter: World is initiating an intense crossover event with The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Players will determine how Geralt of Rivia, the famous Witcher and monster slayer, will track down and kill a vicious and powerful Leshen. Advanced players, from February 15th until March 1st, will also have access to a grand multiplayer event.
This upcoming content themed on CD PROJEKT RED’s hit game will revolve around Geralt’s abilities and his character interactions. Any player of Hunter Rank 16 and above to being the all-new, original quest line “Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest!” Geralt takes a job to find and kill an ancient, magical forest being known as a Leshen. Once more, Doug Cockle voices him in the English version of the game. Players will have access to Geralt’s various abilities and accouterment. Use the White Wolf’s bombs, spells, potions, or combat prowess and wield his famous silver sword! Furthermore, players will influence the story’s outcome as they converse with other characters throughout the quest.
Those who successfully complete the quest will attain an array of Witcher-themed loot! Among other things, players will receive materials necessary to crafting Geralt’s armor and weapons and a new Nekker skin for the companion Palico. There will also be new gestures, titles, a guild card background, and a new pose. Completing the quest “Contract: Woodland Spirit” will also grant players the resources necessary for crafting Ciri’s gear and weapon set. Step into the shoes of a woman imbued with phenomenal magical potential as you unsheathe her blade.
To all Monster Hunters ranked 50 and above: There is a special event prepared just for you. Grind your blades and perfect your techniques for an exceptionally difficult multiplayer event. In the quest “Contract: Woodland Spirit,” you and your comrades will face a much stronger, deadlier form of the Leshen. The Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher 3 crossover is incorporated in a free title update for Monster Hunter: World. As of now, this update is available for the PS4 and Xbox One. The PC update is soon to follow!
