Mobile Edge Brings Product Line to E3 2019

If I said E3 2019 was the best E3 that I have ever been to, I would be lying. The show floor was overcrowded with a lack of things to do. Security was extremely strict and confrontational at times. Because of these two situations, getting to appointments in a timely manner became an obstacle, rather than a guaranteed thing. This is the case with our Mobile Edge appointment for E3 2019.  Because of security, we were forced to reschedule our original appointment with Mobile Edge; thankfully, the gentleman behind the Mobile Edge booth was able to reschedule our appointment and give us a sneak peek at their diverse lineup of gaming accessories.

The Mobile Edge team was busier than they previously expected. Back in the right corner of the LA Convention Hall, the small booth welcomed con-goers of all ages. Below we will be including pictures of their booth and if any of the products we talk about in this article interest you, you can check out their website.

E3 2019 marks the first time that Mobile Edge has brought their video game accessories to the E3 showfloor. Due to the booth being busier than we expected, no formal demonstration of products occurred, instead, we were given a typical marketing presentation. Now that might have sounded like a complaint to some, however seeing how the Mobile Edge team pitched their products and their inspired belief in their products was revitalizing compared to other E3 presentations that we witnessed.

Mobile Edge Booth

The booth featured a variety of gaming accessories including backpacks, portable chargers, hats, hoodies, play mats, water bottles, and even. . . hot sauce! Now you might be wondering why we included hot sauce as a gaming accessory in that list but here’s our rationale. Have you ever brought back or heated up food during a long day of gaming and realized that it was either plain or needed some extra kick? Bam! Hot sauce to the rescue to invigorate your taste buds.

Backpacks

In reality, Mobile Edge focused predominately on their backpack and portable charger accessories. The Core Gaming Backpack provides gamers with a TSA checkpoint-friendly compartment that unzips easily. The velcro backpack also features a variety of compartments to separate cables, mice, portable chargers, and water bottles. The internal pouches of the backpack protect and separate laptops from tablets, keyboards, and game consoles.

In viewing the backpack, the compartment space is rather roomy and looks as if it would provide an exceptional amount of space for the traveling techie. The only question is, how much can the bag store before it tears or breaks? One additional feature is that the front includes a velcro section so you can customize the backpack. Mobile Edge does feature a variety of other backpacks, totes, and briefcases, but this is the key item that they wanted to focus on.

Portable Chargers

The second key item the Mobile Edge team focused on were their power banks. The two power banks they focused on was the Core Power AC USB Portable Laptop Charger and the Core Power Portable USB Battery Charger. The two power banks hold over 26,000 mAh and provide at least two USB ports and fast charging capability. Be sure to check out their website for all the specs.

Alienware

Finally, the last notable accessory that the team were proud to show off was their partnership with Alienware. The booth featured a variety of Alienware designs including hoodies, shirts, briefcases, and beanies. Our personal favorite Alienware product was the Alienware Lightup Zip Hoodie. The hoodie is supposedly 100% polyester and features three light up settings. I am curious to see how the hoodie washes with LED lights or if there is a special way to detach the lights so they will not get damaged.

Overall, we are thankful for the time Mobile Edge took to show us a few of their products and their charitable donation of the Core Gaming Backpack to Andrew Peggs to grant for Extra Life purposes. Despite a rough start to the day and a vlogger interrupting, we were excited to see something different to the E3 2019 show floor. Now hopefully next year E3 2020 will feature more game stations to play while still welcoming back game accessory companies.
