Earlier this year, the world was shocked when Bungie announced that they would be separating from Blizzard-Activision; since the official announcement, Guardians around the world have questioned the Fate of Destiny 2. Prior to E3, the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion was leaked after data miners discovered patches of code in an update. Shockingly, Bungie and Destiny were absent from E3. Yesterday afternoon, Bungie released the official Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Launch trailer. Soon, Guardians will have the opportunity to fight the Hive on the Darkside of the Moon.
The trailer starts out with beautiful visuals of the moon being highlighted while a remixed version of Beck’s E- Pro plays behind Eris Morn’s narration. She says, “Listen to the Shadows. They whisper Death! Welcome, We’ve been waiting. It knows we’re coming. I can sense it. Know that thing that goes bump in the night? Become that thing! We have work to do.”
This expansion will reunite Guardians with the long lost Moon while overcoming the reoccurring enemy, the Hive. Sadly, the lack of new enemies and travel locations are two major reasons why the game’s fanbase has declined. Hopefully, the new expansion will revitalize the game’s community.
