There has been a lot of new that has surfaced from tonight’s Nintendo Direct! Some news came as a complete surprise, while others were already known due to being leaked ahead of schedule. One of those leaks happened to be that Overwatch is coming to the Nintendo Switch!
The popular fast-pased team shooter was indirectly leaked weeks ago. Listings for an Overwatch-themed case started to pop up online. The speculation can finally be put to rest, as Overwatch Legendary Edition is official coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall! The Switch version will include 15 bonus skins like it’s other console counterparts. The Nintendo Switch version isn’t simply a straight port, as it will include a few additional features of its own. The Nintendo Switch’s unique use of gyroscopes will offer an all-new way to play. While in handheld mode, these motion controls will allow players to move their console to take aim, defend, and traverse.
The Nintendo Switch port of Overwatch Legendary Edition is scheduled to release this October 15th, and will retail for $39.99 USD. Those interested in buying it digitally can pre-purchase it now on the Nintendo eShop. For all things Overwatch, be sure to check out Blizzard’s official website.
