The 2019 WWE Draft has just finished and rumors of trade are looming. According to WWE’s Booker T, a monumental trade is looming and will be announced tomorrow night on FS1’s new wrestling show. According to some WWE wrestlers, they are not happy with the results of the WWE Draft and who can blame them? Many overlooked and even frequently used WWE talents are currently without a show after the draft’s results. A few drafted superstars are even more annoyed by draft decisions. One notable WWE superstar upset over the process is Kevin Owens. Let’s break it down.
Throughout the summer, WWE’s Kevin Owens battled the commissioner of Smackdown for brand supremacy. Owens took on an Anti-Hero persona similar to Steve Austin to take down The Authority. Owens took to Twitter to convey his disappointment with being drafted to RAW and in a later round. After looking at the first night’s draft results, Owens could have easily been drafted in the first round to Raw or in the second round to Smackdown. After tonight’s draft picks, over 40 WWE superstars are still undrafted. Below is the list of Superstars drafted and eligible free agents.
Although Friday Night Smackdown is supposed to be the number one show since its move to FOX, the roster feels rather average. Hopefully, “The Trade” will give Smackdown a little bit of an edge roster wise because it is lacking in overall star power and female wrestlers. At the moment, Raw currently has 9 female wrestlers signed compared to Smackdown’s 5.
